Maximizing a Design Team

Whether it is working with your current design team or assembling a new design team using Reid’s network or world class designers, Reid ensures that you and your program will feel like a priority. Additionally, Reid can advise on ways to help stretch your program funds to maximize your design elements. In a lot of ways, your marching program serves as a curriculum. Its development and the people who are developing it feel empowered and informed to ensure your students are getting the highest quality material.

Concept Crafting

It is important that you love your concept. After all, you will be the one experiencing it every day. Through a collaborative process, Reid helps identify a concept that will fit your band’s identity. Using the most modern collaborative resources available, Reid will craft a concept paper that includes initial set design, music pacing, costuming and aesthetic ideas, and planned visual events throughout the show. Rest easy knowing there is a plan for your students; success!

Aesthetic Development

Reid works with an exclusive artist to develop costumes, flags, and set designs to make certain that all are coordinated from the outset. Not only does this ensure the highest quality designs, but it also enables early delivery of artwork to vendors. No one likes to go to their first show without all of their show materials. Reid helps you avoid that frustrating situation!

Visual Development

Reid develops a series of detailed notes outlining staging ideas for all captions based on the training programs in place with the director team. Through careful collaboration with the drill designer, Reid works to ensure the color guard, winds, and percussion are staged in a manner to maximize effect. Upon completion of the drill, Reid delivers notes and feedback to the color guard and winds choreography team to ensure maximum visual coordination.

In Season Support

Your time is valuable - Reid can help put that value back where it’s needed most - your students. Reid will oversee all deadlines from beginning to end so you don’t need to make the phone calls and emails that chip away from your instructional and personal time.

In addition, Reid will be there to guide and support you throughout the season through video review, collaboration meetings, and - if desired - in-person clinics. You don’t have to do this alone! Reid’s years of successful band director experience can help guide your training and pedagogy to maximize student excellence!
